Congratulations to Robbie Peralta -
Xplode Fight Series
Robby Peralta really should be looked up to by all fighters on all levels. Anyone who is in the MMA industry knows that there is a ton of work that goes into building a bout. Some fighters might go through the selection process of 4-5 different fighters that they study, before deciding to take a fight. Peralta has the heart of a warrior and trains to fight whomever is standing across the cage.
For the last 7 years you could always find Robby training at the Escondido Sports and Fitness Center. This is a young fighter that comes from a humble, great family in Escondido California. Gregg Sharp owner of Escondido Sports and Fitness and Xplode Fight Series was ecstatic to see Robby win in the UFC. "Robbie is just an all around awesome kid that is always respectful and always shows up to train his hardest on good days and bad, which we all have.
Johnny Hughes has been training Robby for years and works him hard, never once have I seen Robby stray from expectations and hard work. We are all very proud of you!"
The call came from the UFC at the beginning of the month, by the 6th of September the deal was inked and Johnny committed Robby to the fight on the 17th. Johnny Hughes stated "I have been training Robby for years and I see the work he puts in, I dont believe there is anyone at 145 in the world that can beat him. Robby is the fighter that trains for "That Phone Call". We got the call and without hesitation we took another tough fight against Mike Lullo. Inside of 17 days from initial contact, myself, Robby and Jeff Clark were in New Orleans, on weight and ready to win again. Last time we got the call on short notice for Strikeforce and Robby defeated Hiroyuki Takaya in Strikeforce."
Stay tuned to watch an amazing person and fighter pursuing his dream to be the best he can for himself, his family and friends.
